Stephen Knightly
Director of Pursuit PR
Digital Communication and Gamification
What if you spent all your budget on a website or online community but no one ever commented? How can we make audiences interact with key messages, not just passively sit there?
The biggest advances in digital communication in recent years are not better graphics or social media. Rather, analytics have given us a more sophisticated understanding of the psychology of engaging people online.
Gamification is the application of game-like mechanics to something that is not a game: like a website, app, loyalty programme or public education programme. 70% of Global 2000 corporates are using it already.
Stephen will show New Zealand examples of gamification used in public consultations, a government home safety campaign, environmental education, and in training customers to use their health supplements effectively.
